I just got an iMAC and FCP and transitioning from Adobe to Final Cut (i call this my final cup) and one thing I have learned is to learn before embarking on a project and since FCP is overwhelming, this handy 10 tips are really beneficial. Thank you for a great tutorial. KH
Great video with some TOP tips. However please look up what the short-cut "E" extend edit does!!! it has massively saved me time on extending and expanding multiple clips on the timeline.
Thanks Jeff...very informative...definitely time saving tips.

Extend edit is actually an extremely useful shortcut. It extends video, audio, or both from the edit point to the playhead position in 1 move. I use it primarily to make quick L cuts to smooth out the final edit. (linked tracks need to be turned off to make the L cut in this way). Cheers.

Great tips, I've been editing avid for about 14 years so it's very hard for me to edit FCP too. Your tips have been very helpfull! Thanks so much for investing your time to help.
