Description
Here's my first tutorial. In this one we are going to learn how to take our 4K R3D files and size them down to 2K for editing in final cut pro using REDrushes. For the red applications check out www.red.com or www.red.com/support. I'm still learning this process myself. the only reason I posted this is because I couldn't find any other video tutorials on red footage and final cut pro. Let me know how this works for you.

Email me with your questions jordan@jordanmilgrom.com
what if i want my final sequence to be rendered out in the raw R3D footage at 4K? how do i produce a cut with 4K resolution in Final Cut Pro?
in 2:53-3:01 of this tutorial you explain how you're scaling the R3D footage to 2040x1152. Why do you instruct us to scale it to 2040x1152 rather than 2040x1080? whats the industry standard?
in this tutorial, 3:44 - 3:54, you talk about "scaling down" the R3D files. in this process, we are simply shrinking the frame size, correct? we are not loosing resolution, correct? we are making the frame size smaller. nothing else is being compromised, other than frame size...
Thank you!! This was very helpful! Looking forward to more of your tutorials!!!!
Need to know what format of project i should make for red footage
I'll be doing another tutorial soon to explain resizing and color correction workflow that this website will also most likely steal.
This was great. Thanks dude!
What about if I want to then finish it in 4K? How would I then take my 2K edited FCP timeline and go back to 4K?
