Why not just use the FCP Log & Transfer function with the Canon EOS-1 Movie plugin?
Thanks for the tutorial. I love your enthusiasm when you say, "Yes I do!". Question: I just purchased a Canon 7D and tested out dragging a clip into my FCP Browser and it opened without a problem. So, I'm wondering what benefit I get by compressing the footage with MPEG Streamclip if it looks like FCP will already recognize it as is. (My clip is 1920x1080, H.264, Linear PCM)
