Description
A quick tutorial on how to create custom export settings for Final Cut Pro X with Compressor 4. You can purchase Final Cut Pro X and Compressor 4 along with Motion 5 Exclusively in the App Store.Written Tutorial:Firstly, edit your video in Final Cut, and get it ready for exporting. If you would not like the basic settings H.264 standard has to offer, open up Compressor 4.Press the '+' button, to create a new setting. Change the Name, set the video quality (MUST BE H.264) Eg. 'H.264 Best Quality 24FPS Multi Pass'. When you have created your custom video export settings, select the tab one from the right and select your video size (360p, VGA, 720p HD, 1080p HD ect.)Then hit save.In Final Cut X you will then need to go to Share-Export Using Compressor Settings and find your custom settings. Select okay and go through it. Enter a name and continue. The movie will then export in your settings, and will be up to 60% smaller and 50% better quality (depending on settings).REAL LIFE EXAMPLE:2:56 Movie - 1080p 24FPS - H.264 (STANDARD)400MB2:56 Move - 1080p 24FPS - H.264 (CUSTOMIZED IN COMPRESSOR)229MBProof.
